Permissions

(7 posts)
  1. Hi, I am tryign to set permissions to users of a Company which is not the primary.

I have them set to have only messages and calendar however when i log in as the user they still have access to tasks and others.

Any ideas why permissions are not working for me?

  2. Hi Vivek. Let me look into this issue and I will get back with you. I will test it out on our end. This is the first we have heard of an issue with permissions.

Thanks...it should only take me a few minutes.

  3. Hi Vivek,

I just tested it and it seems to be working fine. Let me know what OS and browser combination you are using and I will rule that out as an issue as well.

    Some notes:

    1. You set the permissions on a per project basis, so a simple user can have all permissions on one project and not for another. Make sure you are looking at the correct project that you changed the permissions on.
    2. Make sure that you clear your cache. There may be a caching issue here.

Thanks! Let me know if that doesn't work and also get me the OS and browser combo for further testing.

    Thanks!

  4. Thanks for the reply,

I am currently trying on Firefox 2.0.0.18, IE6 (both for testing purposes) and Chrome. I have not yet tried FF3 or IE7.

    I am running XP.

I have tried clearing my cache, still no go. Permissions are set to the one project i have in place.

We are just starting up so if you wish to see for yourself i could email login credentials.

    Thanks

  5. I figured out my issue, though you will most likely look into it as well.

I had set the start page to that project to be tasks, currently if a user is not supposed to have access to tasks but it is set to the startup page they will be forwarded there nonetheless.
