Google Chrome users: There is a caching issue in Chrome that we have just become aware of. It is prohibiting the full load of web pages (as the browser reports it's waiting for cache). This is causing some issues in our application. As soon as Google fixes this issue, we will alert you.

For now the 2 resolutions are:

1. Clear your cache from Chrome and restart the browser.
2. Use a different browser, we recommend Firefox or Safari. IE7 is always an option though :)

Hi Vivek,

Yes. That's the design. Due to the serious nature of Privacy issues. We thought that it might be just a bit too informal to allow drag and drop between lists. If there was sensitive information that accidentally appeared on the wrong list, the consequences could be quite disastrous!

That's the thought behind doing it that way and restricting such movements...

Thanks!

Hi Troy, thanks for the reply.

I am okay with the above however i am not able to drag tasks from one private list to another private list. Is that also part of the design?

Hi Vivek,

That's the way the system is built. You cannot drag an item from a public list to a private list and vice versa. This makes sure that that Private items stay that way.

I do understand what you are trying to accomplish though. You might want to consider having your clients send you messages from the system to create a support ticket. You could then create a task that contains all of that information in the comments to that task. That way you would not have the private/public dynamic that you are experiencing on the task section.

Thanks,

Hi, I am trying to drag a task from a private to-do list to another private to-do list and it doesn't seem to be working.

I am able to drag tasks part of public to-do list to other public lists though.

Is this a limitation or a bug? I would like to be able to drag tasks anywhere i please IE: from public to private and vice versa.

Reason for this is i would like to have a sort of Helpdesk/ticket system for public users (non-memebrs of my company) so they may open a task and I can then drag it to our internal list which will contain more updates and confidential information.

Also, any plans for a Helpdesk system solely for public users.

Thanks

I tried to post a response to a message I received on my iPhone, but I keep getting the message: "Oops! Your Comment took a wrong turn. It won't appear in your Pelotonics portal because we did not find our Message ID in the subject line of your Message."

I tried sending the same message with a copy to myself and the Message ID appears to be in the subject line.

I had set the start page to that project to be tasks, currently if a user is not supposed to have access to tasks but it is set to the startup page they will be forwarded there nonetheless.

Hi Vivek,

I just tested it and it seems to be working fine. Let me know what OS and browser combination you are using and I will rule that out as an issue as well.

Some notes:

1. You set the permissions on a per project basis, so a simple user can have all permissions on one project and not for another. Make sure you are looking at the correct project that you changed the permissions on.
2. Make sure that you clear your cache. There may be a caching issue here.

Thanks! Let me know if that doesn't work and also get me the OS and browser combo for further testing.

Thanks!

Should I be able to drag a task from one to-do list to another with a Mac browser?

I can rearrange items within a list (though it's a bit sluggish), but if I try to drag a task from one list to another, I see a blue line randomly jumping around between items (often nowhere near where my cursor is) and then nothing happens when I drop the task.

Max OS 10.4.11
Same issue in both Safari 3.1.2 and Firefox 3.0.3

Hello Fordgood and thanks for your comments. I guess I would like some more detail from you. The comments string seems to be intuitive from this standpoint:

1. If you don't have a comment, it says "Add Comment" with a plus icon next to it.
2. If you do have a comment, it has a comment icon with the number of comments that have been given on the task.

Please let me know where you are not thinking it is intuitive. I would love to understand that and make a change if it makes sense!

I also get a false error if a task is assigned a due date of Dec 08 in a To-Do List of a milestone with a 2009 due date. Seems like a 2009/2008 problem? Hard to set up a project this time of year with this problem...

In the To-Do Lists section, if I hit the entry and then the link that says "Request Update" I can type something in a box that gets sent out to the team members, but this is not working.

Previously, some of the emails from your domain was going in the spam folder, but I've whitelisted everything for the entire pelotonics.com domain.

I can type something in the box and choose to send it, but no members (including myself) get an email at all.
