Hi Gloria,
I have left myself phone messages too, but if other people are involved I would rather use something online though.

Online is the way to go, I never leave my Internet home but I have forgotten files, appointment books, lists...plus what's more "green" but paperless productivity!

I know this is very old school but I often call my home phone and leave a voicemail for myself. It works great for things I want to remember when I get home, like putting something in the car for the next day.

You are so right about not having excuses for submitting projects on time. I don't want to hear "I didn't know it was due then!" it's right there, and everyone else knew it was due! Pelotonics keeping track definitely motivates some of the slackers on my projects.

Hey that's funny, I was just thinking I could use it with a local community event I am chairing. Everyone is so busy that it's hard to schedule meetings, but we could do a lot of the work without meeting if we use Pelotonics.

I haven't tried Remember the Milk, but I do use Jott for quick notes... another Web 2.0 app. You record an audio message and it goes to yourself or someone as a text message or email. Easy way to get a note to somebody without texting in the car.

I'd say whatever you do DON'T do that request receipt thing. The other person has to manually say they want to send a receipt, and I KNOW they will get annoyed.

If you really want to track things, send out email from an email software like Constant Contact. They can track when the email is opened and whether someone clicked on a link.

You can request a delivery receipt or a read receipt in Outlook, but don't do it all the time, it can be annoying to receive those.

I also like to look to see when people last logged into Pelotonics. I once uploaded a file to Pelo for my boss to review. He said it was fine, but I saw he hadn't logged in to see it! I busted him and he laughed about it.

The best thing we do at my association with Pelotonics is to put all of our committee members on one project. It is really hard when you work with volunteers. But I like to put everybody's tasks up and all the deadlines. That way no one has any excuses for not getting the work in.

I just ran across a productivity system called the Action Method by Behance. Looks like it's more of an analog list maker, but I like the look of the notepads and simple categories. Has anyone tried it?
